"All
things eventually have to go back to the Earth. From the soil
to the soil, from the water to the water."

"Twenty-five
percent of the world's agricultural pesticide is used in the
growing process of conventional cotton.... There are sometimes
as many as 35 different pesticides, herbicides, and fungicides
used in the growing of cotton. These pesticides are carried
away in the wind, and find their way into ground water through
irrigation runoff. This is causing serious long-term damage
to our ecosystem."

"There
is a new and exciting consumer market emerging. American Lives
in San Francisco has labeled them the 'cultural creatives.'
The 'cultural creatives' are making informed decisions when
it comes to their purchases. They want to be in touch with the
production process from the top to the bottom "
