The Solar Collector Goes Online The Solar Collector has been published in print form by the Florida Solar Energy Center for nearly a quarter century. Starting this year, the Center is publishing The Solar Collector online. It includes news, features, "sundries," and links to a wide variety of other online resources. New Cars Ranked for Environmental Impact ACEEE (The American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy) has released its annual report, the Green Book, which ranks new cars by environmental impact. New Report Details Energy & Water Savings Significant opportunities to save money and improve product quality through water and energy efficiency are available to semiconductor fabrication plants, according to a new report from the Pacific NW Pollution Prevention Resource Center. Energy and Water Efficiency for Semiconductor Manufacturing spells out how energy efficiency can produce returns beyond utility bill savings, the linkages between energy and water efficiency, how to overcome institutional and other barriers, and many other specific points concerning how to best achieve these benefits. Online Commodities Exchange Opens Waste Management has launched a new global online exchange for the trade of post industrial and post consumer fiber and non-fiber commodities. The new site provides visitors with an easily used method for purchasing commodities from Recycle America (a Waste Management service), as well as provides a venue for listing commodities a visitor might have available for sale.
